End of Year Show- Ideas

Here are my main ideas and concepts sketched out, some of them are better than others but the main route I want to go down is it should be a celebration of our work and the fact it is colleges 170th birthday could be weaved along side that. 

Idea 1: The first idea I had is based on the concept that the aim of the exhibition is to get people inside the college and explore the range of work, the name of the exhibition would be called 'come in' and the first idea I had with this is the type being on a door mat. All of this would be photographed by a nice door. The leaflet could be interactive and the user could open the door and view a piece of work from each course. 

Idea 2: 'You say goodbye, I say hello' a line taken from the Beatles, the idea is that we are saying goodbye to the college and hello to the real world and the industry. The poster would be purely type with contrasting colours. the leaflet could be double sided with 'you say goodbye' on one side and 'you say hello' on another, I think this would be good as every generation can relate to this. 

Idea 3: The idea of us leaving uni as a caterpillar and evolving into butterflies, evolving into the industry. This idea would be heavily illustrated and I would consider working with an illustrator. 

Idea 4: This is quite a simple concept of having a party invitation as the poster and promotional material, making it clear of all of the details including the time and details, this would work best as the invite and not the poster. 

These two ideas involve photography. 

Idea 5: This idea would be photographed in the studio, the 170 would be silver balloons. The backgound of the poster will be a subtle colour and a contrasting colour will be used for the type, the poster could look quite bold from far away. 

Idea 6: Continuing with the celebration theme, the idea of having a heavily iced cake with the candles with the number 170 on it to represent the colleges birthday. Again a coloured backgound would be used with bold type, there will be lots of experimenting with colour. Another title for this poster could be 'the icing on the cake'.

The two ideas I am going to go with is the bottom two, the only problem is the main focus could be too much on the fact it is colleges 170th birthday, I will ask other people for feedback on this.
