GF Smith Colour Plan Brief


Brief: 

Leeds Print Festival is having a GF Smith Colour Plan archive exhibition this year with prints using traditional print process. The colour you are given is the colour you have to work with to show off the paper, no swapping because of the labelling process. The size must be 23cmx23cm. There will even be a chance to sell your prints at Colours May Vary. Colour plan is an iconic range of premium coloured papers and boards is considered to be indispensable within the design industry.

Background/ Considerations 

Check out the GFSmith Heritage Collection and watch their short films on the making process behind their dyes, paper etc. this really explains their values and approach. Also, their take on process and material lead means to them - which you need to reflect.

Mandatory Requirements

A 23x23 Print of a traditional process showing off the stock colour given.
